**Position overview**
The Communications team of the Corporate Services branch provides innovative, best practice advice and support, ensuring information reaches the right people, using the right channel, at the right time. The team has responsibility for internal and external communication, including websites, intranets, social media, graphic design, publications and forms, corporate publications, content management and communication strategy and events.
We are looking for a Content Publisher to provide support reviewing and publishing content for a range of websites and intranets.
Extensive experience maintaining information on content management systems or other information systems in a legal environment is essential.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Demonstrated resilience working in a high-pressure environment is also essential.
**Important functions of the position**
The person appointed to this position is expected to carry out their duties to:

- operate within the Court’s policies and procedural guidelines.
**Major tasks**
We are looking for a team player with exceptional attention to detail and a great work ethic, who can work with the team to elevate the standard of content on our websites and intranets, so they are a trusted source of information for both internal and external audiences.
Under the direction of the Manager, the Content Publisher will:
- Implement processes to ensure content on the websites and intranets is of a high standard, including being:
- accurate, up-to-date, consistent and complete
- user-friendly and findable.
Under limited direction, the Content Publisher will:
- Update and maintain content on websites and intranets, ensuring accurate, relevant and timely information and content.
- Assist with the collection of relevant content in a proactive manner from various sources within the Courts and the Tribunal, identifying staff needs and gaps.
- Regularly review usage statistics and search logs and make recommendations for improvements to content and/or search functionality.
- Provide training and support to authors, ensuring compliance with internal standards and style guides; and providing support to intranet users and refer technical problems as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to implement and test system upgrades and enhancements, including Judgments publication systems.
- Develop and maintain relevant documentation and records.
- Ensure content adheres to WCAG accessibility standards, the organisation's web style guide and general corporate style guidelines.
- Keep up to date with digital best practice including user experience and accessibility and make recommendations for changes.
**Key relationships**
The Content Publisher reports to the Web and Intranet Manager.
**Selection criteria**
- Extensive experience in publishing content/information on content management systems or information systems in a legal environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships within a geographically dispersed team and to promote the services of the team with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and deliver training to content authors.
- An understanding of the importance of data integrity for the retrieval of information.
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire an understanding of the workings of the Federal Court, the Federal Circuit and Family Court and the National Native Title Tribunal.
**Eligibility**
- Australian citizenship - the successful applicant must hold Australian citizenship.
- Security and character clearance - the successful applicant must satisfy a Police Records Check and may also be required to complete security clearances during the course of their employment.
