This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract with an opportunity for extension or permanency. This role is based on-site, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Reporting to the Manager, Events you will be managing the delivery of the venue services for pre, during, and post events, provide contract and administration support to the Event Planning department and be responsible for all arrangements for internal events. You will be responsible for a range of services including, but not limited to: - Event administration - Attend department, event operations and Sydney Olympic Park Authority meetings - Increase revenue through telemarketing and database sales - Manage the venue service orders and request process, end to end - Manage client and internal enquiries - Own the event planning for internal events Our core office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, however the nature of the event industry means that this role requires event driven hours over 7 days including weekend and public holiday work. **About you** To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: - A passion for events - Demonstrated experience working in events administration - A venue/event management qualification or still studying - Experience using Microsoft Office Suite - Experience using Ungerboeck Event Management system (preferred) - Proven experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines - Previous experience working with various contractors and/or clients - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proven history of being punctual & reliable - Have superior customer service skills with a positive "can do" attitude - Have an outstanding work ethic and impeccable grooming - Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights especially in the lead up to, during and post events held at Sydney Showground - Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia **About us...** The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) organises events, and competitions acts as a guardian for the state’s agricultural heritage, celebrates Australia’s achievements in agriculture, and works to promote the viability of rural communities by ensuring that Australia remains a thriving and innovative agricultural producer.
