**About the Role**

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Coordinator to work in Arts & Crafts. The section sits in the Sydney Royal Easter Show Competitions and Events Department.

You will be responsible for a range of services including, but not limited to:

- Coordinate and manage the administration of all Arts & Crafts competitions
- Prepare, develop and execute competition schedules
- Coordinate and manage various events relating to Arts & Crafts
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and within relevant industries
- Manage the competitions budget including CAPEX
- Create contracts, RAS Council Procedures and General Administration
- Event management

**About you**

**To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following**:

- Previous experience in event coordination and/or project management
- Demonstrated experience in office administration or similar role
- An appreciation and knowledge of Arts & Crafts
- Demonstrated experience planning activities and projects to a tight deadline
- Proven experience in managing small teams of casual staff
- Previous experience working to and managing budgets
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage and address clients (internal and external) concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
- Have superior customer service skills paired with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Be energetic, committed with a proven history of being punctual & reliable
- Have an outstanding work ethic and impeccable grooming
- Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights as required
- Have a positive “can do” attitude
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
- Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if required

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
