**The Role**

The Curator works closely with the Head of Curation to lead the curation strategy for SBS On Demand. They must be focused on finding ways to connect audiences with the shows they'll love, through balancing creative judgement with an evidence-based evaluation of the performance of content presented on platform. The Curator will collaborate with the wider team to identify and deploy tactics that maximise audience acquisition and retention opportunities.
- Providing strategic advice on content discovery opportunities and operational workflows
- Informing and refining the SBS On Demand curation strategy, with a tactical approach that considers the lifecycle of content across the platform
- Collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to support the coordination of campaigns, sponsorship opportunities and promotion via social channels
- In conjunction with the Scheduler, SBS On Demand, ensuring the timely execution of content priorities across all SBS On Demand platforms
- Assisting our customer service team in providing timely responses to relevant audience queries, and providing critical support during key content events
Supported by our analytics team, measuring and refining our content discovery experiences, by shaping editorial decisions with the aim of driving more consumption and optimising audience exposure to the diverse deep catalogue of SBS On Demand
- Contributing performance insights to weekly team updates, briefing documents and senior management presentations

**About You**

We are looking for someone who has an exceptional understanding of the diverse SBS content offering (across scripted and unscripted genres, news, current affairs, sport and our critical public service messaging), and exhibits the skills to manage a dynamic schedule of competing content priorities. Effective planning and a proven attention to detail are vital skills in this exciting role, which will play a key role in executing SBS On Demand's content vision.

You'll be ready for your next big challenge and the following skills will be beneficial:

- Ability to accept feedback, maintain organisation, problem solve, and collaborate effectively with others
- Experience in data storytelling, with the ability to glean insights from data to inform best-practice curatorial approaches
- Experience in a curatorial or digital content experience role, preferably in a large scale commercial media environment
- Thorough knowledge of Australia's streaming media landscape
