**The Department**

The SBS Settlement Guide is an important resource for many SBS audiences. Produced weekly in dozens of languages, the Settlement Guide aims to build key skills, knowledge and understanding of those new to life in Australia across topics such as employment, health and safety, language, education and more, while also encouraging civic participation.

**The Role**

**Duties include**:

- Working with the Settlement Guide Editor to plan and produce content, with an eye on formulating fresh content offerings, while considering the operational lifecycle for the expanded Settlement Guide project.
- Working with a range of stakeholders including external and internal producers, the content and online teams and other SBS divisional stakeholders.
- Providing direction and guidance to Executive Producers, Producers and Senior Producers on the operational and planning of Settlement Guide projects to ensure adherence to ALC’s FY 23 Business Plan, programming & editorial policies and guidelines.
- Undertaking work in a way that reflects SBS’s Charter, Vision and Values and complies with relevant SBS policies, procedures and practices.

**About You**

You are an energetic, self-driven and pragmatic individual with a background in professional broadcast and text journalism. You are well versed in writing and producing factual content, recording, editing and publishing English language audio podcasts and curating content, and contributing to social media feeds.

You are able to plan in advance, analyse content once published, anticipate audience needs in multiple language communities, and communicate adeptly across many teams in a fast-paced environment.
