**The company**

This internationally owned seed company is a leader in summer and winter seed varieties, with operations across Australia.

They now seek a Parent Seed Field Officer, to undertake field activities in Parent Seed Production fields to ensure seed purity. This is a critical role for the purification and increase of all commercial and experimental Parent Lines, and provides support for all aspects of Parent Seed Production as required.

**The role**

Key accountabilities for this role include
- Field Operations and Crop Management, assisting the Field Operations Team with planting, spraying, cultivation, trickle tape laying, harvesting, seed drying and transport
- Crop rogueing to ensure Parent Seed and Experimental Hybrid Sed purity and quality
- Assist the Parent Seed Agronomist with crop monitoring to ensure Parent Seed increases grow to their potential and ensure crop purity is maintained.
- Assist Parent Seed Agronomists and the Research Farm Manager in ensuring in-crop activities are carried out as planned.
- Assist with program planning and approvals, budget planning and expenditures
- Assist in the planning of work activities with team members to optimise seed production, quality and quantity.
- Ensure Quality Management System responsibilities are documented, communicated, updated and implemented.

**The Person**

We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following experience:

- An agronomic background, ideally including irrigated row crop production.
- Familiar with all aspects of zero harm including wellness, safety and health.
- Knowledge and experience in Parent Seed or Hybrid Seed Production.
- A self-starter, able to work autonomously, while contributing to the wider team.
