Position Details
As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented**Heavy Vehicle**Fleet & Equipment Manager, Victoria**to join our team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the National Fleet & Equipment Manager and based at our Hume Road facility in Laverton North, you will work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure our rapidly growing fleet in Victoria is maintained to the highest possible standards and is ready to meet the requirements of the business and our customers.
It's important that you are a passionate heavy vehicle fleet & equipment professional who understands the operational requirements and key contingencies that need to be in place to support complex business needs.
**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Scheduling and administering the repair and maintenance activity of existing fleet and equipment including input and reporting via the Lineage CMMS
- Ensuring repair and maintenance activities are completed to the required company, legislative and commercial standards.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational requirements and contingencies are addressed when scheduling fleet and equipment repairs and maintenance (including after-hours breakdown management)
- Managing the repair and maintenance budget for equipment, ensuring variances to budget are explained.
- In conjunction with the National Fleet & Equipment Manager developing and managing a replacement plan for existing equipment, with scheduled introductions of new equipment and disposal of legacy equipment.
- Developing business cases for new equipment types in conjunction with National Fleet & Equipment Manager that support the business strategy.
- Preparing Capex submissions for new equipment approvals (Road and Rail
**To be successful, you will ideally have**:
- Experience in a similar role at a management or supervisory level.
- High level of CMMS understanding.
- Qualifications - Mechanical trade qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Must possess high level of technical knowledge and understanding of heavy vehicle componentry.
- Demonstrated understanding of current heavy fleet maintenance methods and management.
