Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Parts receiving and receipting into site ERP, ensuring all materials is supplied, stored and handled to meet GE and the customer’s safety and site requirements.
- Pick and Book parts against WIP Jobs in a timely manner so that production targets are met.
- Supporting Technicians in Parts and Billable Tasks for Job Delivery including parts preparation.
- Coordinate input on site material and hardware shortages, including subcontracted items ensuring timely turnaround of product and effective subcontractor management to prevent delays.
- Internal transfers of materials or inventory between sites
- Stocktakes and cyclical counts
- Management of consumables including shelf life control and proper storage of consumables following all EHS guidelines
- Maintain Calibrations of Test Equipment to a 12 month or as industry required cycle. Managing Out of Tolerance equipment accordingly and following any out of tolerance procedures or actions coordinating with management and technicians.
- Maintaining Chemical Register and Chemical Storage Guidelines
- Providing and Maintaining availability of site required PPE to all staff.
- Receipting and dispatch of incoming and outgoing work and subcontracted items.
- Work with Materials Leader to plan for prevention of excess inventory and stock outs.
- Assist Materials Leader in developing 12 month rolling forecast monthly striving for 85% accuracy
- Collaborate with Materials Leader to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, such as Operations management, Production teams, Customer service team, quality, EHS, supply, and customer service reps, to meet GE’s contractual obligations, and additionally any internal goals and performance metrics (KPI’s) management deems necessary
- React to material and production plans that do or do not meet customer requirements
- Prepare availability reports for all equipment, as required.
- Goods in Inspection preventing quality issues with parts manufacturing.
- Following the appropriate quarantine procedures for non-conforming materials or parts.
- RMA management in conjunction with Quality and/or Material fulfilment functions
- Assist in quoting and strip reporting functions as relief and backfill for Shop leads in peak periods, or as needed.
- Abide by all company Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in workplace inspections and safe work observations.
- Ensure mandatory PPE is applied.
- Must comply with mandatory random drug & alcohol testing.
- Attend all teaming toolbox talks and workplace safety meetings.
- Undertake any training required for the position.
- To be flexible with work hours when required.
- The ability to prioritise workloads.
- Must be able to work as part of a team, with or without supervision.

Qualifications, Experience and Abilities
- Qualifications in Supply Chain Management, or inventory management or alternately significant industry experience in Sourcing, Materials Management.
- Proven ability to plan, source and manage materials and consumables in a multimillion-dollar industrial environment with achievement of On Time Delivery and Cost efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and plan materials for production teams in meeting objectives.
- Significant experience in the use of ERP and MRP systems
- Track record of building relationships, influencing and communicating with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
- Knowledge of wheel motor and alternator parts and assemblies will be well regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyse data, generate opinions and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
