**_ About the Role_**

The role of Project Lead is to lead the delivery of a fresh, innovative educational program for young adults with intellectual disability. Power to You is funded by Information, Linkages and Capacity Building Grant though the Commonwealth Department of Social Services.

This project embraces innovative ways of working with people with disability to offer greatest choice and control in their lives. It offers assistance and information to the person and their support network. It includes and is not exclusive to independent planning and decision-making processes that ensures personal autonomy, choice, control and empowerment. The approach is developed and adapted based on consultations with people with lived experience, including people with disabilities and their stakeholders.

The Power To You program will have national reach and be delivered online as well as in person.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

- Demonstrated ability to lead the project and project team with a track record of delivering projects with impact, on budget and on time
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building and self-direction with young adults with an intellectual disability and their stakeholders
- Experience in co-design process
- Desire to support individuals living with disability overcome barriers to lead their version of a good life
- Ability to align the project to Mamre’s strategic vision and develop new capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve the objectives
- Competent and confident in the implementation and use of new technologies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of others Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt information into accessible formats for diverse groups
- Drive to share their future focused mindset and thought leadership skills to generate new ideas and inspire others
- Proven planning, development, implementation of projects resulting in measurable impact

**KEY CAPABILITIES**

**Essential**:

- Strong working knowledge of NDIS and funding model
- Minimum of 2 years Project Leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead the project and project team with a track record of delivering projects on budget, within tight timeframes and with limited supervision
- Proficient working knowledge in professional project management and project management tools eg PRINCE2, Teamwork
- Proficient working knowledge in online educational platforms eg Thinkific
- Marketing and digital design knowledge
- Ability to align the project to the organization's strategic vision and discover solutions to problems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt information into plain language and other accessible formats for diverse groups

**Desired Skills**
- Knowledge of and experience of working in the Disability sector
- Previous experience of delivering Person-centred Planning outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve the objectives
- Competent and confident in the implementation and use of new technologies

**QUALIFICATIONS/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS**

**Essential**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications in the areas of Disability, Social work, Psychology or other relevant area and/ or significant relevant experience working in disability
- Certification in Project Management
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Current QLD Driver's Licence
- Fully vaccinated by QLD Government Terms with COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccinations
