**The role**:
The Senior Power Generation Engineer is responsible for the safe, reliable and effective operation and maintenance of the site’s power generation infrastructure. As the Senior Power Generation Engineer, you will be required to provide frontline engineering support to the maintenance, production and engineering teams and be able to provide support to the reliability and asset management teams, utilising domain knowledge to assist in RCA, process improvement and post incident investigations. Your duties will include identifying and executing minor improvement projects, ensuring statutory systems are maintained and audited, managing sub-contractor performance, providing technical support for gas turbines, ensuring the safe delivery of gas, analysing outage and performance services, assisting with shutdown planning and conducting site load forecasting.

**Selection Criteria**:
This role will suit a dynamic engineer who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Ideally you will be experienced in islanded power generation and hold a degree in electrical or power engineering. Your knowledge of Gas Turbine Power Generation (GE LM6000), diesel reciprocating engines, automation and industrial control systems, HV switchgear testing and maintenance practices together with your excellent RCA and problem-solving skills will secure this role. This role is a 6-month contract. FIFO 8/6 Perth or 5/2 Perth.
