APG Workforce are currently seeking a
**RTW/Injury Management Coordinator** to oversee a large poultry processing facility based in Wingfield.
This role will be responsible for implementing the Injury Management / Return to Work Program, supporting workers as they recover at work and assisting the business to meet their obligations as required under workers compensation legislation.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited**:
- Liaising with all relevant parties involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of injured workers and the coordination with the site for the safe return to work of injured workers.
- Advise and assist in meeting statutory compliance in those areas of responsibility.
- Advise Managers/Supervisors in relation to injury management legislation to ensure that all measures being taken are done so in a compliant and cohesive manner.
- Manage all injury management related matters, ensuring that employees are supported throughout the life of their injury in a manner which is collaborative and ensures that they can return to the workplace in the quickest possible timeframe.
- Manage data within the Workers Compensation databases to ensure they are maintained with accurate and timely information for the proactive management of both safety and injuries within the workplace.
- Preparing, monitoring and reviewing a recover at work plan (in consultation with key parties) that documents the worker’s capacity and the duties available
- Liaising with external stakeholders, such as the nominated treating doctor, insurer, treatment providers, union and workplace rehabilitation provider, where required.
- Working in conjunction with the National Injury Management Coordinator to actively manage the Workers Compensation claims and associated rehabilitation programs.
- Coordinate and attend, where possible, NTD and specialist reviews with injured workers.
- Involved in WHS projects, as required
**Critical Skills and Experience Required**
- Return to Work Coordinator Certification or related industry experience and training
- 3+ years work experience in injury management
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Empathy towards injured workers
- Ability to liaise with all key stake holders - workers, medical professionals, insurers and management.
- The ability to think and solve problems - consider, analyse and develop solutions to barriers to recovery at work
- The ability to consult with and influence stakeholders - collaborate with others and value their contribution
- Negotiation and conflict resolution - gain consensus and commitment from others and resolve issues and conflicts
