To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a
**Principal Compliance** to join our team on a 2 year fixed term contract.

**The Role**

**Reporting to the General Counsel, **the purpose of this newly created position is to define and implement Arrow’s new compliance framework.

The position involves partnering across Arrow’s divisions and teams to rapidly mature our compliance approach. The position will establish our compliance foundations and obligations management, and ensure we have processes and systems in place that enable Arrow to meet its obligations.

This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

**In addition you will**:

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Define and implement Arrow’s Compliance Framework and compliance governing documents to ensure they are fit for Arrow’s purposes.
- Partner across Arrow to identify and map Arrow’s obligations, how those obligations are met and the roles that are accountable and responsible for the controls and their effectiveness.
- Partner across Arrow to ensure there is sufficient understanding of compliance controls, accountabilities and responsibilities including procedures for escalating apparent breaches or near-misses.
- Lead or support post-incident reviews with a focus on ensuring actions are focused on organisational learnings and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and report compliance performance, identify themes and emerging compliance issues and risks and recommend actions for improvement.
- Work with suppliers to deliver compliance related products and services.

**About You**
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.

**To be considered for this role, you will ideally have**:

- University Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Law or Engineering.
- Strong level of practical experience in designing governance and compliance frameworks or reforming a similar function.
- A strong customer focus, with the demonstrated ability to establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in the resources sector, and the associated tenure, health, safety and environmental regulatory regimes, will be highly regarded.
