**The Role**:
We're looking for a highly motivated Asbestos & Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Consultant to join our boutique, Perth based business. The role primarily involves the following:

- Conducting Asbestos & HAZMAT surveys;
- Conducting airborne asbestos fibre monitoring;
- Preparing detailed Asbestos & HAZMAT Registers and Management Plans;
- Having a direct line of communication with clients and addressing their needs;
- Working closely with asbestos removal contractors and other stakeholders; and
- Providing expert advice on the management, safe handling, removal and remediation of Asbestos & Hazardous Materials.

Qualifications/licences such as the following are favourable, but not an absolute requirement in order for you to apply:

- Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA);
- IP402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings;
- CPCCDE5001 Conduct air monitoring and clearance inspections for asbestos removal work;
- CPCCBC4051A Supervise Asbestos Removal;
- CPCCDE3014A Remove Non-friable Asbestos; and/or
- CPCCDE3015A Remove Friable Asbestos.

As IA&C have implement working from home as standard practice. Having a strong sense of self motivation, discipline, accountability and pride in your work are absolute necessities. Experience with supervision of asbestos remediation, client development and the knowledge of state and national legislation will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

- Permanent Residency/Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia;
- The ability to work from home and onsite where required (printer, laptop and other necessary office items will be provided);
- A valid Class C driver’s licence;
- The ability to travel regionally and remotely for site work (occasional interstate work is required);
- The flexibility for some out-of-hours and occasional weekend work;
- The ability to wear respiratory protective equipment;
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple ongoing projects ;
- A broad understanding of health and safety regulatory guidance;
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment, but also have the ability to work independently;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; and

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
