**Your new company**

Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government agency to recruit an Access Officer in a temporary capacity. This company is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing programs that support a better life those with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

**Your new role**

You will work full time hours from Monday to Friday as an APS3 Access Officer, providing clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities. The incumbent may have some public contact and is required to communicate with and provide straightforward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing, processing and assessing documentation and ensuring all information is available for an access decision in accordance with policy and legislation.
- Making appropriate access decisions in accordance with delegated authority.
- Maintaining records and undertaking a range of data entry responsibilities in accordance with Agency standards and policies.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Scanning and filing documents according to Agency standards and policies.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Extensive experience in a similar role undertaking administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Organised work practices and the ability to address fluctuating work demands, changing priorities and timelines
- Superior level of customer service skill
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to liaise on a professional level with a diverse client group

Due to the nature of our client, for this role you MUST be an Australian Citizen

This role offers you an hourly rate of $36.27 + super, full time hours and an initial 12-month placement with the possibility of an extension.
