As the league enters its next growth opportunity, the NBL Replay Centre will become a multidisciplinary hub for the management of the performance of its players and officials.
**_About BA_**
Basketball Australia is the governing and controlling body for the sport of basketball in Australia. A not-for-profit business, Basketball Australia’s members are the eight state and territory basketball associations who it works closely with to grow the sport.
Basketball Australia manages the elite national teams (Boomers & Opals, Rollers & Gliders plus men’s and women’s 3x3), the Centre of Excellence facility, elite competitions including Australia’s longest running women’s competition, the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL), major international competitions, annual national junior championship events as well as Australian basketball’s official junior game development program and other national programs and events.
Basketball is an Olympic and Paralympic sport and shares one of the highest international sporting profiles with the sport also ranked as the second most popular team sport in Australia with over 1 million people playing the game. Basketball Australia manages 22 national teams which compete in Olympic and Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games and FIBA World Championships.
**_The Role_**
This is a unique position and opportunity to work across both the NBL and BA. As the
**NBL Integrity Officer**, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the NBL competition.
Reporting to the BA Head of Integrity, the Integrity Officer will be a member of Basketball Australia’s Integrity Unit, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of issues arising under the National Integrity Framework affecting the NBL, including education, prevention, monitoring, intelligence and investigations. The role will have a particular focus on mitigating risks relating to gambling and match-fixing, anti-doping, illicit drug use, member protection, and the safeguarding of athletes and children.
The Integrity Officer will also be responsible for assisting with the management of reports, investigations and hearings under Basketball Australia’s National Integrity Framework. Additionally, this position will work in collaboration with state and territory basketball associations, to maintain the integrity of Australian basketball.
Reporting to the NBL General Manager - Competitions & Operations, the NBL Integrity Officer will be responsible for NBL compliance and security and disciplinary processes, including club licence agreements, accreditations, code of conduct investigations and tribunal processes.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a related field and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Support the day-to-day management of matters arising under Basketball Australia’s National Integrity Framework affecting the NBL.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information and intelligence in a centralised complaint management system.
- Develop and implement integrity management strategies.
- Provide timely information and intelligence reports to the BA Head of Integrity.
- Monitor wagering markets for the NBL.
- Lead and assist the management of investigations and hearings initiated under the National Integrity Framework.
- Compile briefs of evidence and other documentation for presentation of cases to the Head of Integrity, Hearings and Tribunals.
- Provide integrity advice and guidance to stakeholders, including NBL clubs and participants.
- Deliver integrity education programs.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with integrity requirements to safeguard the sport.
- Contribute to the review and update of National Integrity Framework policies and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to all reports and complaints, including potential allegations of historical abuse or harm within a basketball environment, which may involve responding to child abuse or making reports to child protection agencies.
