The Chief People Officer (CPO) Division provides a range of enabling services to DVA’s business areas to support them in providing quality services to its veterans and their families. The Integrity, Security and Property Branch assists this goal through the provision of business integrity, investigation, compliance, security and property management support to DVA business functions. As a member of the Fraud Control and Analytics Section, you will be working to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements for fraud and corruption control.

The section contributes to the integrity of DVA payments, systems, processes and staff by managing fraud risks and helping to govern and supports the departments approach to fraud, non-compliance, and corruption. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence, shape and build DVA’s future strategic prevention, detection, and response to fraud and corruption.

The Integrity Officer will report to the Director Fraud Control and Analytics, assisting the agency to effectively manage fraud and corruption risks through the development and implementation of key fraud and corruption governance documents, identification and recording of new risks, coordination of risk management plans, detection and analysis of fraud and corruption risks, delivery of reporting and remediation programs, ongoing stakeholder engagement, and more.

**Duties**
- Drafting core governance documentation;
- Identifying and gathering requirements to produce risk profiles and data products;
- Researching industry counter fraud and corruption capabilities;
- Undertaking analysis of fraud and corruption matters;
- Working cooperatively with other teams to prevent, detect and respond to instances of fraud and corruption;
- Maintaining an awareness of DVA’s fraud risk environment;
- Reporting on fraud remediation strategies and activities;
- Assisting business areas with researching specialised control and treatment options for identified fraud and corruption risks.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 12 months.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
