The Opportunity
Procurement Manager

You'll develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies, manage high-value contracts, and build key supplier partnerships that support our ambitious growth objectives.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne, reporting to the Chief Event & Project Officer, perfect for a procurement professional ready to make their mark in the sports and entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management

  • Develop strategic procurement plans to achieve optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation across all spend categories
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and performance management processes
  • Build strategic partnerships with key vendors and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and competitive advantages
Contract Management & Tendering
  • Manage end-to-end tender processes, RFQ administration, and competitive sourcing activities
  • Negotiate complex supplier contracts and service agreements with legal and finance teams
  • Maintain central contract register and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations
Purchasing Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee daily purchasing operations ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement across all departments
  • Implement procurement policies and compliance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Provide procurement expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders organisation-wide
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and technology integration
  • Develop reporting dashboards and KPI monitoring for supplier performance and contract utilisation
  • Support ERP platform optimisation and maintain procurement documentation
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles
  • Proven track record in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and strategic procurement
  • Strong experience with tender management, RFQ processes, and contract administration
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and supplier relationship management
  • Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Advanced skills in procurement systems, ERP platforms, and data analysis (Excel, PowerBI)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Commercial acumen with budget management and financial analysis experience
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and ethical procurement practices
  • Experience in fast-paced environments (sports, entertainment, or media industry preferred)
  • Professional certifications (CIPS, CIPSA) highly regarded
