We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our friendly and vibrant team in Kewdale.

This position will be responsible for sourcing goods and services and ensuring the continuous supply and availability of materials while complying with planning and control system expectations.

The role will have critical interactions with Production and Warehouse staff to ensure on-time and accurate material flow.

**Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Preparation and release of purchase orders in RCT’s ERP system to both local and international suppliers
- Support the on-time delivery of purchase orders from suppliers, ensuring their performance as to contractual requirements
- Manage suppliers to ensure the products and services meet RCT standards
- Support the timely input of master file data relating to inventory and suppliers
- Assist with the import shipping process
- Assist with investigating/sourcing alternative suppliers
- Identify and effectively respond to corrective actions non-conformance and opportunities for improvement.
- Review and update business processes to support continuous improvement strategies and the effectiveness of the inventory/purchasing processes.

To be considered for this position you must have the following attributes:

- Demonstrated experience in purchasing both locally and internationally within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing or associated disciplines
- Understanding of production systems and continuous improvements
- Computer literate and skills in the use of ERP and MS Office software
- Strong communication skills, commercially astute and driven on outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and excellent attention to detail
- Strong planning and organising skills
