New small bar in Manly that is after a Manager to build and lead a small dedicated team. The space is a bit of a throwback to the past and incorporates previous uses of the building (over 100 years old) that it is located in and also doubles as a small used/second hand bookstore. If you’re into great music and a bit of reading as well, this is the place to work for you.

We are looking for someone who ideally has a background in running a small bar or hospitality management with the ability to manage all aspects of the venue. You will be honest, reliable, able to problem solve and have a solid knowledge of bar operations (both FOH and BOH). As a small bar, you will be our point person, from creating the cocktail and wine menus, ordering and managing stock to making drinks behind the bar. Excellent customer service and a genuine interest in people are a must.

What you’ll need:

- Minimum 2 years experience in bar or venue management/operations preferable.
- Cocktail and wine knowledge.
- Experience training, motivating and managing staff with positivity and passion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of liquor licensing and compliance.
- Ability to manage all aspects of operation of the venue including but not limited to rostering, ordering, stock management and developing customer relationships.
- Can think on your feet, work independently and continually strive to improve the venue.
- A desire to foster a culture that is ambitious, creative, inclusive and driven to succeed in providing exceptional service.
