**Behaviour Support Practitioner**

We are currently recruiting for a behaviour support practitioner who holds core competency or above, who can work casually or as contractor 1-2 days per week. Remuneration is negotiable based upon qualifications and experience.

**The Role**: As a Behaviour Support Practitioner with us, you will play a pivotal role in positively shaping the lives of our clients. Your relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and those with mental health issues, combined with your expertise in evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care, will be the foundation of your success.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique needs and challenges of each individual.
- Develop personalised and evidence-based behaviour support plans that focus on promoting positive outcomes.
- Utilise trauma-informed practices to create a safe and empowering environment for our clients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including families and caregivers, to ensure an integrated approach to support.
- Advocate for the rights and dignity of our clients, promoting inclusion and community integration.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in behaviour support. autism, mental health, and human rights to enhance your practice.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent people, and mental health issues.
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices in behaviour support and interventions.
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their support networks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
