Men's behaviour change programs play an important role in promoting the safety of women and children. The purpose of these programs is to initiate a change process in men's behaviour and provide a forum for exploring and challenging beliefs.
Peninsula Health Family Violence Program is offering the opportunity for persons wishing to work within the family violence sector in a full time, part time or casual roles in which to support an evidence based service delivery to support our community.
The Roles are Graded at a Grade 2 level and persons are able to access attractive salary sacrificing packages, career development and opportunities for career progression within the Health Service.

**What You Will Be Doing**
The Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) Facilitator works in partnership with other team members in delivering a range of short, medium and longer-term family violence behaviour change interventions to men in the Bayside Peninsula catchment who are 18 years or over and identify using violence in their family relationships. The role works with men to enhance the safety of women, children and other family members. This role can include working in collaboration with other Peninsula Health services as well as external agencies, where required. The role includes client engagement, risk assessment and safety planning, men’s behaviour change group work and case management. Evening work is a requirement for this position.
**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- A relevant qualification in Social Work or Psychology
- Psychologists require full registration with AHPRA.
- Social Workers who are eligible for membership of the AASW
- OR a related Social Science tertiary qualification - Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Recommendation 209)
- An understanding of group work facilitation, case management
- Well-developed understanding of the impacts of family violence for family members and broader community.
