**The Role**

The
** Studio Manager** is a senior team member and central to the success of the Sydney studio, working side-by-side two local Studio Directors and our senior team. The role is both strategic and operational in nature, with broad and diverse areas of accountability.

With both local studio and Executive support, you will oversee the financial management of the studio, people and resourcing, marketing and proposals, project forecasting, contract review and negotiation, and office management. You’ll play an important part in defining and maintaining a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The Studio Manager is responsible for the direct management of three studio support roles and providing strong leadership to ensure that general studio operations are smooth and efficient.

**About You**

You will have strong project management experience and the ability to lead and support teams with confidence, authenticity and warmth. The position requires strong influencing skills, not only to shape outcomes internally but to ensure quality results are achieved for the practice, our clients and collaborators.

You may be a designer who is seeking a new opportunity to influence design outcomes by leading the management of a busy studio.

Ideally, you will:

- Be degree qualified in design, project management, business, commerce or similar;
- Have a high level of business acumen, and financial and resource management experience;
- Be experienced in managing medium
- to large-size teams;
- Have experience using project management/resourcing software, and high proficiency using digital systems (Advanced Excel highly regarded);
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with people at all levels;
- Have a global, strategic and compliance mindset, with strong working knowledge of best-practice project management and business operations; and
- Have a solid understanding of the industry, and a passion for design.
