An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Studio Manager** to join the sass and bide design team. This role will be reporting into the Head of Buying. You will be instrumental managing fit sessions and workloads across patternmakers & machinists.

**Key areas of accountability**:

- Allocation of patterns between pattern makers, assessing strengths and workload to maximise efficiency
- Managing workflow of sample machinist
- Engagement of temporary contractors for cutting, pattern making and machinists on approval of the technical manager
- Supervision of contractors within studio
- Scheduling fit sessions with appropriate internal staff & fit models for each week as required
- Issuing and managing fit list for each sessions
- Ensuring all patterns, toiles and specifications are completed on time and in line with company critical path
- Issue weekly status report on work in progress within studio
- Manage all samples (sms and pps)
- Analyze design brief to determine if design is to be developed from specs through supplier or pattern internally
- Create specifications based on design brief; ensuring all information is clear, detailed and includes cut/make comments to assist supplier to make proto
- Measure and assess reference sample to ensure it meets spec and design prior to fitting
- Check bom is completed
- Send any toile/reference sample to copy - supplier to return with proto
- Hand-over spec to design in line with critical path
- Creating patterns on gerber system based on design brief
- Develop specifications including cut/make instructions ensuring all information is clear and detailed to assist sample machinist
- Measure toile and update spec prior to fitting
- Fit with design, action all pattern amendments and update spec
- Hand-over pattern, spec and toile to design in line with critical path
- Assist other patternmakers during busy times as directed
- Complete any ad hoc requests as required
- Assist s&b internal staff on all pattern or construction enquiries

**To be successful in the role you will**:

- Be organised & efficient, with a strong focus on achieving results by multi-tasking and prioritising workloads
- Have proven understanding of garment specification, fit process and product development process
- Have a high level understanding of fashion and manufacturing processes
- Know fabrics, trims and treatments, and their appropriate uses and have knowledge of fabric testing processes
- Be customer centric - everything you do is with our customer in mind
- Have a strong focus on developing & sustaining collaborative and productive relationships
- Be creative, innovative & think differently in dealing with both opportunities and issues
- Have strong, clear & concise communication skills
- Provide feedback as & when required to all levels of the business
