**The Opportunity**

**About the role**

We are currently looking for a self-motivated Supply Chain Modeller responsible for developing and maintaining production and operational based simulation models and project based statistical analysis that will assist in making optimised and cost effect decisions across the MinRes supply chain. Reporting to the Integrated Planning Manager, your primary purpose will be to create value by:

- Effectively communicating and presenting the results and assumptions of your simulation models to stakeholders at all levels across the business;
- Statistical analysis of large data to identify optimised and cost effect solutions to production and operational problems;
- Building strong relationships with co-workers at all levels of the business;
- Pursuing options founded through your natural curiosity;
Based at our world class Osborne Park office with occasional site visit, you will have the opportunity to work across Iron Ore with involvement in projects at all stages from pre-feasibility, to operational readiness and approvals, to operating sites and into closure and rehabilitation.

**What we’re after**

We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and enjoys a challenging yet rewarding work environment. You will be responsible for;
- Collection and collation of qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources and ensuring its accuracy by liaising with relevant stakeholders across the business;
- Scenario modelling and decision evaluation based work across multiple time horizons to support both onsite operations through to the 5year mine planning to contribute to the understanding and management of key value drivers
- The development and maintenance of operating models to inform short and medium term scheduling activities with a focus on practicality of execution
- Implementing and developing continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance and efficiencies

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate difficult concepts and complexity to stakeholders from a range of backgrounds
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering; mathematics; science (physics, chemistry, data science, computer science); finance or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience working in a resources based environment
- Experience in discrete event and agent based simulations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with optimisation and statistical software such as Orical Crystal Ball, Minitab or similar will be highly regarded
- Sound written and verbal communication skills including presentation of analytical results
- Demonstrated working knowledge of mine safety procedures and regulations
