**About the Position**
***We are looking to welcome a**Child and Family Consultant** to provide consultation, assessments, advice and input that will provide better outcomes for children and families.**
***:
- **Full time position.**:
- **Government funded until 31 December 2025 with possible extension.**:
- **Level 5 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $97,378 - $101,788 + Super.**
***_Key Responsibilities:_**
***:
- **Actively build and maintain working relationships with Child Safety as referrers and partners in the ASC co-response.**:
- **Respond as a part of the ASC team on referrals and provide expert opinion and consultation on referrals, processes and service connections.**:
- **Actively engage referred families in the ASC co-response process in line with operational guidelines and Act for Kids policy and procedures.**

***About You**
***:
- **A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).**:
- **At least five years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five years’ experience working in similar roles.**:
- **Demonstrated specialist skills in at least one of the following areas drug and alcohol, mental health, family and domestic violence, child development.**:
- **Expertise in child development and assessing functioning and wellbeing of children and young people.**

- **Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.**:
- **Current driver’s licence.**:
- **Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).**
