**About the role**

The Centre for Oral Health Strategy leads the strategic development and coordination of oral health policy and programs for NSW. The Centre monitors the implementation of population health-based oral health prevention initiatives and public oral health service delivery in NSW.
The role of the Business Manager is to provide essential management of the operational, financial and business matters including contractual and resource management for the effective and efficient operation of the Centre for Oral Health Strategy (COHS).
Health Manager level HM2, starting salary from $109,857 - $129,624 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 38-hour work week.
**What you will do**
- Manage core operational, financial, contractual, and business matter support to the COHS by facilitating effective and integrated business processes to improve the efficiency of the branch and assist the Executive management team of the branch in service planning, policy development and project management.
- Coordinate with Executive and Ministerial Services (EMS) to ensure that Ministerial correspondence, briefing notes and other requests are appropriately responded within the strict deadline and maintain up to date record management using Content Manager (CM) and eApproval (records management systems).
- Educate and assist the management team in the interpretation of financial reports and implication of variances. Analyse financial information in a timely and accurate manner, outlining comparative performances, trends of expenditure and revenue in line with budget and activity plans.
- Provide advice and support to the executive management team on HR and recruitment matters, procurement, and other office administration matters.
- Manage direct reports for work allocations, delegation, work plans, professional development and work performance reviews including interpersonal conflict management and grievances.
- Receive, assess, and manage inquiries to ensure all calls are dealt with and directed to appropriate area and coordinate/manage complaints to ensure they are appropriately addressed and recorded.
- Provide business operations support to all COHS projects and establish and maintain effective communications between management and team members to achieve effective and integrated business processes.
**About you**
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in business/finance or significant industry experience.
- Proven background and experience in the management of business operations, contracting, project management, and financial processes.
- Proactive and results-driven professional with a passion for business operations and financial management.
- Thrive in dynamic environments and adept at managing multiple priorities with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and coordinate staff within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to deal confidently liase with people at all levels.
- Commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
