We’re looking for a motivated Junior IT Support Technician based in Sydney on a 6-month fixed term contract to support the Objective IT team in rolling out solutions, supporting the IT environment and other tasks as required. The role is based in either our Sydney with some travel to the Wollongong office and reports to the IT Manager in Sydney.

**What your day will look like**:

- Deploy IT solutions (MDM, laptops etc) in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Setup, deploy and manage IT hardware, OS installation, Software installs, Patching, etc as instructed.
- Assist with racking of Network equipment, cabling and other related Data Centre activities.
- Adhere to the Objective IT equipment policies and procedures, including ordering, deployment and disposal.
- If required, provide a high level of service support to our end users, both on-site and remote.
- If required, monitor the Help Desk queue and work on IT tickets.
- If required, support on premise Video conferencing and meeting room equipment.
- Work within the incident, request, problem, change and release processes.
- If required, change backup tapes and perform other operation tasks.
- Other duties as reasonably requested.

**What skills will you need**:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline.
- Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of end-user IT issues on MacOS and Windows.
- IT experience as an IT technician an advantage.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of MS Office, o365, Domains, AD, Anti-Malware, Intune, phones, printers, and other end-user technologies.
- Understanding of Linux, Jira, Confluence, AWS, Firewalls, OpenVPN, DHCP, Proxies and Network technology’s an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills.
- Friendly and Proactive attitude, Team Player.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Attention to detail and able to follow procedures.
