Junior Service Technician ($30-$40/hr) - Hands-On, Flexible, Career Start

We are a leading maintenance business seeking a motivated Junior Service Technician to join our cohesive team—this is the perfect opportunity for an individual seeking practical experience and flexible hours across the Sydney Region.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

You'll work directly alongside our skilled technicians, gaining practical, invaluable experience in a diverse range of engineering maintenance tasks, including:

  • Maintain and Upgrade: Assist with crucial maintenance and upgrades on workshop machinery, specialised pottery Kilns, and essential Dust Extraction equipment.
  • Install and Construct: Gain experience in basic machine assembly, installation, and ductwork construction.
  • Team Support: Provide critical, hands-on support to our trades team to ensure smooth, efficient project completion.
  • Customer Support: Engage with customers/clients in person onsite; offsite client communications are handled by Management.(no external phone calls)

Key Role Details

  • Mobile Position: This role is mobile across the Sydney Region. You must be comfortable travelling to various client sites to perform maintenance and installation work (travel costs reimbursed).
  • Flexible Schedule: This is a Casual position offering a minimum of 16 and up to 38 hours per week, depending on your availability. We'll work with you to establish a consistent, mutually suitable roster Typical hours are daytime (e.g., 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM).
  • Long-Term Commitment: While this role is primarily casual, we are open to negotiating a Permanent Part-Time of Full-time commitment for the right candidate if it better suits your long-term needs.(We are interviewing for multiple positions)

Essential Requirements

  • Current and valid Driver's License.
  • Must hold a current car licence to operate company or personal vehicles for travel between client sites.
  • Reliable Vehicle (Costs to be Reimbursed). Vehicle may be provided to the right candidate upon negotiation
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to spend extended periods on your feet while performing manual tasks.
  • Moderate lifting capability is required for handling equipment and machinery components up to 15kg. Comprehensive lifting aids are provided as required
