School Technical Officer

This is a TO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of TO2 to TO3 classification range.

About the Role:
This position is a Temporary Full-time role to be shared between 2 schools, Southport Special School 0.6 FTE and Mudgeeraba Special School 0.4 FTE, until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing technical advice, instruction, and support for electronic equipment in line with departmental, school, and manufacturer guidelines, policies, and network standards.
Assisting in delivering in-service training for staff on the effective use of ICT tools to enhance and deliver educational services to students.
Supporting staff and students by resolving issues related to school computing facilities with a strong focus on customer service and communication.
Conducting regular preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repairs for all ICT facilities and associated electronic equipment.
