Ambulance Victoria (AV) is recruiting for a permanent, full time Operations Equipment Lead, to join our Operations Logistics Division located in South Melbourne. This position sits within the Operational Fleet, Equipment and Supply Services team and manages and maintains all matters pertaining to equipment and specialist resources.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Operational Fleet & Equipment, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Plan and manage the annual operational equipment budget.
- Manage EMU specialist resources to enable efficient and effective utilisation by stakeholders.
- Direct the logistics support and critical incident response network to maintain continuous availability of operational equipment in line with operational requirements.
- Oversee the operational equipment and fleet standardisation and update programmes to ensure that the most appropriate solutions are developed and delivered to operational staff.
- Provide operational input into the development and implementation of technology relevant to operational equipment management to align with stakeholder requirements and ensure that necessary service level agreements are in place to provide appropriate availability and performance.
- Manage the effective and efficient rollout of newly introduced operational equipment and functions.
- Utilise knowledge of emerging technology and innovative solutions, develop specifications and be involved in the tender processes for operational equipment and technology.

About you

**To be considered for this position you will possess**:

- AHPRA Paramedic Registration as an ALS or MICA Paramedic with current Authority to Practice (ATP).
- Extensive operational experience within the Ambulance industry with proven knowledge of equipment and technology in the paramedicine field.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse and multi-disciplined team.
- Demonstrated consultative, interpersonal and negotiation skills at all levels and well developed, effective written communication skills.
- Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of issues and appropriate path to resolution.
- Excellent communication skills to enable concise and relevant recording and reporting of issues, and progress towards their resolution.
- Well-developed contract management experience.
- Experience working in a comparative fleet or logistics environment (desirable)
- Availability to work outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues (CAA1).
- A current Victorian Driver Licence.
