The Opportunity

We are seeking a Safety, Quality and Environment (SQE) Advisor to work at CPP's landmark renewable energy project, the Waratah Super Battery.

In this role, you will be responsible for site safety in accordance with WH&S legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure the safe delivery of the project. You will be a peoples person who champions for SQE initiatives, partnering with operations to keep our people safe and deliver significant projects in the renewable energy industry. One of which will be the Waratah Super Battery - the most powerful renewable energy battery in the world.

The Waratah Super Battery is expected to be 850 MW, allowing more electricity flow through the NSW electricity network. It will act as a shock absorber, ready to respond when the power system experiences a shock, such as a lightning strike or bushfire.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Implementing and maintaining the company's WHSE system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and established performance standards
- Assisting in the planning, execution and monitoring of high-risk work activities to ensure successful SQE outcomes
- Conducting site inspections and investigations
- Developing and delivering internal communications and lead community meetings and toolbox sessions

**Skills and Experiences**:
About You

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Qualifications in either Safety, Work Health Safety, Environment or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in a high risk industry (power, renewables, oil, gas, mining) on high value projects in an safety capacity
- Previous experience in a leadership role will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to run site inductions with various stakeholders
- Ability to inspire others in best practice safety procedures
- Formal investigation training would be highly regarded
