This position reports on a day to day basis to the Building Manager of Central Gardens Complex. From an operational and supervisory aspect, the position reports to the Building Services Manager. This position involves liaising with the Building Manager and is responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with all employees, Residents and Committee Members.

Hours of the Assistant Building Manager are from 08:00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday and exclude Public Holidays, with 1 hour for lunch each day.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The position requires the applicant have the following skills:

- Strong Administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound technical knowledge of high-rise residential buildings (preferably mixed-use developments)
- Computer literacy
- Understanding of OH&S & Workcover requirements
- Understanding of fire safety and essential service requirements of high-rise residential buildings (preferably mixed-use developments)
- Understanding of security software for access systems and security systems
- Comprehensive understanding of service agreements relevant to high-rise residential buildings (preferably mixed-use developments
- Basic understanding of Residential Tenancy law
- Basic understanding of Owners Corporation law
- Demonstrated technical problem solving skills and knowledge of risk management techniques.
