**Salary**: $105,000 - 108,000 per annum plus superannuation
**The opportunity**:
Are you passionate about improving the lives of children and families through effective communication? The Centre for Community Child Health is seeking an experienced, highly motivated professional to lead communications and engagement for our Restacking the Odds (RSTO) initiative.
As the Communications and Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach and impact of RSTO, through the development and implementation of strategic communication efforts and contributing the Centre’s Knowledge Translation team.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
**Engagement & Retention**: Proactively engage and retain key stakeholders, partners, and supporters of the RSTO initiative.
**Brand Awareness & Mission Visibility**: Increase brand recognition and elevate RSTO’s mission in the public and early years sector.
**Content Creation & Knowledge Translation**: Develop accessible and impactful communication materials, ensuring that research is translated into actionable and understandable insights for diverse audiences.
**Public Policy Influence**: Engage policymakers, funders, and early years sector partners to support RSTO’s mission and vision.
**Event Management**: Organise and facilitate events, webinars, and workshops that promote knowledge exchange and dialogue among key stakeholders.
About your new team
Restacking the Odds (RSTO) is dedicated to ensuring all children and families have access to high-quality, evidence-informed early childhood services. Research has shown that essential early years services are most effective when integrated, but these services are often unavailable or inaccessible to families and communities facing greater disadvantage. RSTO is working to overcome these barriers by providing data, tools, and training to service providers, practitioners, and communities to improve service quality and participation.
**Experience**: 5+ years in knowledge translation, science communication, or a related field, with proven success in managing communications strategies and projects.
**Passion**: A strong commitment to improving the health, development, and wellbeing of children and families.
**Skills**: Exceptional written and verbal communication, project management, stakeholder engagement, and content development skills.
**Collaboration**: A collaborative spirit with the ability to foster meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
**Knowledge**: A strong understanding of knowledge translation principles and the ability to distil complex information for a variety of audiences.
