**About the Role**

The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, (MDHS) is committed to reduce Indigenous health inequity to improve health outcomes under the current framework of the Advancing Health 2030 strategy. The Indigenous Development team have successfully led a range of projects and programs under the leadership of the Associate Dean Indigenous.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Engagement Manager, Indigenous Development will take a lead in planning, coordination and implementing key projects and events of MDHS Indigenous development. The incumbent will bring innovative and creative approaches to reach broad audiences and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead the development and implementation of engagement projects guided by the Faculty’s strategy Advancing Health 2030.
- Develop and oversee an integrated online profile and communication presence for MDHS Indigenous Development.
- Create, plan and lead innovative staff, student and alumni events that align with the co-ordination of Indigenous calendar events.

**Who We Are Looking For**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engagement Manager to join our team at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Heath Sciences. You will have demonstrated communications and event management experience and knowledge of effective marketing and communication tools and strategies. Your strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills will allow you to thrive in a complex, collaborative organisation.

You will also have:

- A Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- A demonstrated familiarity, sensitivity and respect for the different needs, aspirations and cultures of Indigenous societies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify needs and to take initiative to create innovative solutions to problems, including identifying opportunities, designing, implementing and evaluating projects.
