Noosa Hospital has opportunities in the Emergency Department and Front Office department available for flexible, highly organised, and enthusiastic Admin Assistants to join our team
**Emergency Department - 2 x Part-time positions - 45 hours/fortnight**
This is a very busy role and requires someone who can work autonomously, cope in stressful situations and support the wider ED team. You will ensure patients are administratively admitted, discharged and billed in a timely manner.
The successful applicant must be available to work a flexible roster, Monday - Sunday, between the hours of 5am to 1am and be available over busy holiday periods (shift times may vary over holidays). Shift times:
- 0500 - 1400
- 0700 - 1200
- 0700 - 1600
- 1400 - 2300
- 1600 - 0100
**Front Office - 12-month maternity leave contract, minimum 29.5 hours/fortnight**
Responsibilities include welcoming patients, admissions and discharges, receipting payments, general enquiries and reception duties, operating the Hospital switchboard, pre-admitting patients and health fund eligibility checks.
- Monday to Friday between 0545 - 2000
- Saturdays 0800 - 1400
- Sundays 0800 - 1300
**Your Essential Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Proven organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Adherence to deadlines and ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Willingness to learn
- Experience in relevant health care administrative position
**Desirable Requirements**
- Experience in hospital patient administration systems, or private practice software
- Understanding of Private Health Insurance / patient billing
- Experience with Meditech and Microsoft Applications

**Requirements**:
