Agile Coach

**Overview**

Agile Coach will support Enterprise Agility Lead by driving and supporting Agility uplift within MUFG Retirement Solutions business, operational and technology teams, and functions. This role will provide direct coaching and support to define and embed lean, fit for purpose practices and approaches to strengthen collaboration and communication and to accelerate delivery of outcomes and value.

A primary outcome for this role will be to train, mentor and supporting teams for greater understanding and adoption of agile values, principles, and practices to build high-performing teams that embrace customer centric delivery practices, continuous improvement, and flow-based outcome delivery. This role will work between teams and leadership as needed to assist teams in effective resolution of challenges to build sustainable ways of working across business and technology teams.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Build and embed strong understanding of Agile values and principles in support of a learning and adaptive mindset for cultural change.
- Coach and drive support for definition of customer centric delivery and a value-based delivery focus.
- Guide and support teams in adoption of continuous improvement thinking and approaches for ongoing improvement of workflow and timeliness of delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement approaches to stronger transparency and alignment with stakeholders and peers for improved collaboration and communication.
- Guide teams in adoption of lean, fit for purpose ways of working to ensure sustainable delivery of existing and new work (including but not limited to planning, prioritisation, work decomposition and improved capacity & demand management).
- Coach teams and their stakeholders in increased adoption of improved collaboration approaches to increase effectiveness of communications and information sharing.
- Support teams in definition of improved approaches to resolution of delivery conflicts and impediments.
- Help embed a quality focus to ensure appropriate assurance throughout delivery to assure quality of client outcomes.
- Help build an engaged environment where teams ‘own’ their delivery and feel empowered to work within it.
- Coach team members for improved understanding of Agility values and principles and delivery frameworks.
- Embed approaches to improve facilitation between teams and their stakeholders for effective collaboration and communication within and external to teams.
- Lead uplift in critical thinking and open discussions to promote courage, curiosity, and trust within teams.
- Collaborate with teams and their stakeholders to improve visibility and transparency of work items and associated risks, issues, dependencies and ensuring an ongoing focus and discussions.
- Help to embed higher work visibility including delivery metrics to support improved tracking and reporting processes.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- A minimum 7 to 10 years as an Agile Coach or similar role. with demonstrated experience in driving change in large and complex environments.
- Possesses exceptional knowledge of traditional and agile delivery approaches (incl. techniques, frameworks, and complementary delivery practices).
- Formal accreditations for Agile frameworks and Project Management would be well regarded.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to lead others at various levels of seniority both formally and informally to achieve outcomes.
