**The role**

As the Optimisation Lead, Operational Excellence you will be responsible for the identification and delivery of improvement initiatives with capacity from dedicated digital squads and the Operational Excellence crew. The role will involve coaching the wider team on leading methods and uplifting capabilities as well as strategic and critical thinking, stakeholder influencing skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.

**Your impact**
- Designing and delivering business improvement projects across Medibank that will deliver better customer and employee outcomes
- Facilitating Operational Excellence crew agile cadences to ensure initiatives are on track and supporting the team in developing initiative work plans and defining key success measures
- Developing appropriate collaboration mechanisms to build engagement and buy-in of key stakeholders across the enterprise to influence initiatives
- Leading enterprise-wide reviews to identify and build in year and multi-year programs of work which deliver significant benefits that consider cost, revenue growth, customer experience, employee experience and risk
- Delivering process optimisation initiatives that consider standardisation, re-engineering, elimination, or automation recommendations
- Promoting a culture of driving change to help build a continuous improvement mindset across the enterprise

**About you**

You will have significant experience in both project management and continuous improvement and will be comfortable challenging status quo, while developing and leading innovative solutions. You’ll also have proven experience building engagement and buy-in with stakeholder groups.

**Must have skills**
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- An Enterprise mindset that considers opportunities with a 360-lens including customer experience, employee experience, cost pools and risk controls
- Experience leading improvement/transformation teams that have delivered tangible outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to create a compelling message, and production of strategic and formal documents
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ways of working.
