**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Administration Officer to join our team at the Biodiversity Council. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to protect and preserve biodiversity. This position offers a unique chance to work in a start-up environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the growth of the organisation. With a positive and collaborative team culture, you will work closely with a small group of passionate individuals dedicated to making a difference in the field of biodiversity conservation. Your responsibilities will include:

- Organising meetings and events, including booking and setting up meeting rooms and event spaces, arranging catering, and managing registrations.
- Secretariat support for the Executive Team, the Board and Biodiversity Councillors, including co-ordinating attendance, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes and monitoring actions.
- Supporting university-related administration including maintaining records, processing expense claims, procuring stationery, and compiling financial information.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You possess excellent organisational and time management skills, thrive under pressure, and prioritise tasks with agility. Your meticulous attention to detail and understanding of privacy and confidentiality ensures robust and accurate record-keeping. You quickly grasp and adhere to financial and governance accountability requirements, demonstrating high levels of self-motivation to manage changing work priorities with a positive and proactive attitude.

You will also have:

- Completion of a degree; or of a diploma qualification and subsequent relevant work experience; or of a Certificate IV and extensive relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrable experience in providing administrative or secretariat support and/or project management, including examples of having successfully organised events and meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, and an ability to build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
