**The Position***

**Position Title**: Disability Liaison Officer
- **Classification**: HS3
- **Salary per hour (exc. super)**: $36-$42
- **Hours per fortnight**:16
- **Employment Status**: Part Time Fixed Term
- **Other requirements**: COVID-19 Vaccination

**Role Description**
- This positon supports improved access to COVID-19 vaccination services for people with disability who may experience barriers due to fear, uncertainty and issues with accessibility.

**The Team**
- The Community and Public Health Services Division has a primary focus on improving the health outcomes of the communities in our region. With a range of local and regional programs supporting place-based health promotion, prevention, care and support, they work collaboratively with other Divisions and regional partnerships and networks to support quality outcomes. The Division has a strong leadership role in the Loddon Mallee Region and is committed to ensuring processes are in place to deliver on our Division.

- Essential : Demonstrate understanding of the needs and issues for people who have a disability and a comprehensive knowledge of the range of generic and specialist services options available to clients including but not limited to: physical, emotional and mental health, accommodation, legal matters, employme
- Essential : Experience in, and demonstrated understanding of working with people with disability and their carers.
- Essential : Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across client, community and professional groups inclusive of skills to negotiate and arrange access to service and treatment.
- Essential : Demonstrated commitment to working in a multidisciplinary team recognising and respecting the contribution of all team members.
- Essential : Flexibility to operate in an environment of change and continuous improvement.
- Essential : Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritise competing demands.
- Essential : Tertiary level qualification in disability, nursing, allied health equivalent, with current registration with, and/or professional membership of relevant professional body as required or equivalent experience and qualification and relevant field.
