We are seeking a Manager Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance to join our Maintenance Group in the Customer Delivery Division.

Remuneration & Hours:

**The Opportunity**

As the Manager Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance you will**primarily be responsible for the electrical, mechanical and catchment management workforce, ensuring the safe, compliant, effective and efficient service delivery for customers.

With coverage of Hunter Waters network assets, primarily over 500 pumping stations, approximately 80 reservoirs, 75km of high voltage transmission lines, 3 dams, telemetry (including at treatment plants) and involvement with almost 10,000km of water and sewer mains, this is a critical role and a key member of the Maintenance Delivery Leadership Team.

**What you'll do**:

- Provide highly effective leadership to the Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance team
- Work effectively with key stakeholders across Hunter Water to deliver optimal service outcomes
- Manage and optimise the existing field service model (FSM)
- Continue to optimise planning and scheduling processes to maximise work completion and minimise down time
- Ensure larger projects and jobs are actively managed to ensure safety, efficiency, financial control and customer service are optimised

**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, or other related discipline OR substantial experience in the field of Electrical and/or Mechanical Maintenance
- Class C Drivers Licence
- More than 5 years’ experience in ‘Maintenance Management’
- Proven commitment to personally displaying and developing in others visible felt leadership
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders; with strong communication, negotiation
and interpersonal skills
- Effective including business writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously, identifying trends/issues and acting with initiative to deliver solutions and outcomes, bringing relevant matters to
the attention of the Group Manager
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst delivering to team and corporate deadlines
- Ability to lead the implementation and optimisation of a productivity program
- Ability to perform duties in an Incident Manager Centre (or commitment to develop capability)

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Relevant Postgraduate Qualifications in Engineering, Management or Business Administration
- Trade Certificate
- Experience in the water industry and/or with a distributed network of assets
- Knowledge of water and wastewater equipment, system and processes
- Competencies in any of the following: RAM, RCM, TQM, ILM, RCA, FMECA, 6 Sigma, Lean
