**About Us**

**About the Role**

Working for the Manager | Major Loss & Specialty (NSW), you will be responsible for overseeing the state operations of our Major Loss & Specialty (ML&S) division in NSW. This role includes a focus on quality, timeliness, revenue, margins and customer service ensuring the successful achievement of individual and team outcomes and objectives. The role is based in Auburn, NSW but requires some travel initially to Melbourne for training and as required for ML&S national and client meetings

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with a strong operational background to enhance the productivity and efficiency of our NSW business.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ML&S division
- Streamlining processes for business optimisation
- Nurturing a high performance culture within the division
- Strategic planning and implementation
- Mentoring and developing a team

**Capabilities and Behaviours**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Expert organisation and time management skills.
- Knowledge of construction for building repairs.
- Ability to engage commercial based thinking with risk assessment.

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Degree in Management or business related discipline (highly desirable)
- Solid business development experience
- Understanding of service level agreements and process definition and conformance
- Experience in the construction and insurance repair industry (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (highly desirable)
- High level of computer competency

As the insurance building sector is heavily influenced by insurable weather events, overtime is occasionally required during these event times.
