Downer **Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) **is proud to be a leading provider of Rollingstock assets and management in Australia **. **We are now looking for an Operations Improvement Manager to join our site-based team in Auburn NSW.

Reporting directly to the National Operations Excellence Manager, you will have the opportunity to implement meaningful change and improvement initiatives at our NSW Sites.

Utilising previous experience and approach to LEAN you will work in collaboration with multi-disciplined stakeholders across our Auburn and Cardiff sites to drive:

- Operational Excellence through continuous improvement (CI) activities
- Drive special initiatives to improve the site’s operational performance, productivity, and projects execution.
- Identify waste in critical processes and formulate improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate, adopt and share Best Practices with the organisation
- Mentor teams and individuals to generate continuous improvement ideas and LEAN ways of working.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar higher-level Certificate
- Six Sigma/LEAN Manufacturing qualification or equivalent (highly desirable.)
- Possess 6-8 years of experience in a similar/relevant role.
- Exposure to and a working knowledge of project and process management, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, Kaizen facilitation, and relevant CI tools.
- Technically competent with data analysis and data presentation would be desirable.
- Experience in Rollingstock Operations or equivalent Manufacturing industry, across various functions will be desirable
