**The Role**
The EL 1 Configuration Manager is responsible for the management of the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) configuration. This includes the Configuration Management System which supports the management of seaworthiness and the provision of logistics support for the OPV.
The Configuration Manager is accountable for providing and maintaining an accurate status of the approved configuration of all technical equipment for the OPV. This includes monitoring and control of engineering change activities, executing configuration management activities, and governing the technical data management in the Offshore Patrol Vessel System Program Office (OPV SPO).
The individual will be accountable to perform and achieve very complex configuration and systems engineering work within an integrated workforce. They will have in-depth knowledge of configuration management and systems engineering, and will be responsible for the development, implementation, surveillance and review of policies and procedures.
**About our Team**
In response to the Australian Government developing a nationwide naval shipbuilding enterprise the Future Maritime Sustainment Model is being implemented to realise Plan Galileo; Maritime System Division’s national, long term approach to sustainment of the naval fleet.

OPVSPO is seeking a committed and confident individual to fill the EL 1 Configuration Manager position that will lead the Configuration Management Team within the SPO. Strong skills in configuration management, leadership, stakeholder management and communication are required to meet the demands of this position.
