Operating since 2014, TRAPT delivers infamously challenging escape rooms, fun cocktails with an Australian-product focus and lots of geeky good times. In addition to our 6 escape rooms, our bar features fantastic cocktails inspired by our escape rooms alongside locally brewed beers, spirits non-alcoholic options, our own pop-up escape games and retail board games. We’ve now designed and delivered 12 unique escape rooms and there are always more on the way

**About the role**

We are currently seeking a full-time Venue Manager (this will be only the second appointment since our establishment) who can take the reins and join the team in continuing to build Trapt Bar & Escape Rooms as one of Australia’s leading entertainment brands commencing in July.

This role will suit a mature but fun-loving problem-solving individual with bar management experience that is looking for a change and a challenge. Someone who enjoys problem-solving, diversity in work, coaching teams and ensuring that everyone has a memorable and amazing experience. Above all, you will enjoy interacting with customers from all walks of life and do so with patience and enthusiasm You will be responsible for guiding our customers in the venue and setting the standard for the team to deliver our unforgettable experiences.

You will lead by example and help to recruit, coach, manage and inspire a tight-knit team to have fun and deliver amazing experiences through our escape room and bar. You'll be responsible for the overall delivery of experiences, the maintenance and trouble-shooting of our Escape Rooms.

- You're a natural problem-solver, with a can do attitude and are excited about escape rooms in immersive experiences.
- Experience within a busy environment is essential and a commitment to exceptional service standards
- You are amazing with your team and lead by example: coaching, training, developing and inspiring comes naturally to you.
- You are organised, can prioritise and meet deadlines; experienced with project management.
- You're also handy with a screwdriver (of the tool and cocktail varieties) and a keyboard (ability to troubleshoot tech issues and comfortable with new tech)
- Solid commercial acumen is a must with the ability to manage budgets, drive revenue and achieve KPIs (including managing Rosters and COGS).
- Escape room experience is a plus but not a requirement - if you love escape rooms and have some hospo management experience you should consider applying

This is a hands-on role, working on the floor and with the escape rooms, leading your team from the front as a visible face of the business.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Every weekend

Supplemental pay types:
