Food Quality Assurance Officer

We’re Feedwell - one of Sydney’s fastest-growing corporate catering brands. We serve clients like Google, TikTok, and Louis Vuitton from our commercial kitchen in the CBD. Now we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Team Member who takes pride in getting the details right.

**About the Role**:
This role is ideal for someone who is **thorough, methodical, and values precision**. You’ll be our last line of defence before food leaves the kitchen — checking that every salad, sandwich, wrap, and platter matches the spec. If you care about quality, consistency, and doing things right the first time, you’ll be a great fit.

**Your shift**:

- **Monday to Thursday** | **4:00 PM - 12:00 AM**:

- Shifts will be mostly fixed, with occasional flexibility needed
- Based at our **Sydney CBD kitchen - 5 minutes from Townhall**:

- Opportunity for casual to become permanent for the right person

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- **Visually inspect** final products to match **recipes** and **reference photos**:

- Check **weights**, **scoop sizes**, and **ingredient accuracy**:

- Perform **taste checks** on select ingredients (e.g. **roast vegetables**, **fruit**, **bacon**)
- **Verify labels** for accuracy (e.g. **gluten-free**, **vegan**, **platter types**)
- **Monitor food safety** practices and **log any issues**:

- **Notify team members** of any problems needing attention
- **Report major concerns** directly to the **shift supervisor**:

- **Record results** in the **digital QA system**

**What We’re Looking For**:
We’re not after flash or flair — we want **someone who is careful, responsible, and steady**. You’ll suit this role if you:

- Are comfortable working **independently** for most of the shift
- Are confident in **reporting issues** to team members and supervisors
- Can stay **focused** and **accountable** across **repetitive tasks**

**Bonus points if you have**:

- Any experience with food QA or compliance
- Done a Food Handling or Food Safety Supervisor course (we can also help you get one)
