Overview

Andrews Meat Industries is a leading food service meat supplier comprising three key divisions: foodservice, value added (cooked) and export. Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments, including health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.

An opening exists for a Quality Assurance Officer to join the Fresh Meat Division at Andrews Meat Industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is leading the way in the meat industry.

About your new role

The Quality Assurance Officer will help to ensure that the quality of all products is maintained in accordance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.

Work hours

4.00am - 12.00pm

Must be willing to do early morning starts.

Role responsibilities

This role would be responsible but not limited to the following tasks:

- Monitor operators against QA procedures.
- Monitor GMP procedures.
- Take corrective and preventative actions as required.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Participate in external audits.
- Monitor ancillary areas of the facility to ensure hygiene requirements are met.
- Collect samples for micro testing.
- Prepare and action NCRs to internal staff.
- Investigate and respond to Customer complaints.
- Participate in HACCP Review.
- Assist with regular training of existing and new staff.
- Undertake other related activities as required.

- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer skills (MS Office)
- Able to work autonomously
- Good organisational and time management skills
