**The Role**

As a member of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Business Support Team, the successful applicant will support the Director implementing new ways of working, enabling the Group to develop the required agility to meet the current and future demands of Defence.
As a member of the ERP Business Support Team, the successful applicant will provide ERP Support functions to the Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG). Specifically, this role will be focused on ERP business support activities for CIOG including Master Data Governance Activities and Data and Analytics. This is a new function being established within CIOG to support the new ERP system. You will find yourself immersed in new concepts that will challenge the status quo and learn how an integrated system will actually work in the Defence environment.
You will undergo an ERP Program delivered training program to learn the new concepts and required processes involved to enable the support function. You will then form part of the new team providing this critical support function on behalf of CIOG. Ultimately you will work to lead CIOG in embedding the new ways of working and becoming self reliant in the new system.

**About our Team**
The CIOG ERP Business Support Function is being established within the existing CIOG ERP Business Readiness Team. This is a highly motivated team progressing rapidly to ensure CIOG's successful transition onto the new ERP System. The new ERP Business Support Function will provide the ongoing business as usual support following the ERP go live.
You will be exposed to the internal operations of CIOG and provided with an opportunity to support the Group in adopting and learning the new process of ERP. ERP will be a significant change for Defence with new concepts being introduced in force preparedness, resource management, workforce capacity planning and end to end simplified processes. You will play a leading role in ensuring CIOG is able to fully leverage the power of the new ERP system.
Extensive stakeholder engagement and Data & Analytics management is key to being successful in this role, and you will build extensive working relationships across CIOG and the broader Defence.
The main focus of this role will be focused on Master Data Governance and Data Analytics including remediation activities for the CIO Group. To be effective in this role you will need to think strategically, be confident and understand the role CIOG performs within Defence.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially the ability to liaise with cross functional teams supporting whole of Defence ERP transformation activities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify best fit reporting requirements for the group to develop a sound understanding of their data & analytics requirements.
- Respond flexibly to changing situations to ensure the success and timeliness of key deliverable.
- Experience building and leading teams, including mentoring and building expertise.
- Knowledge of and experience in Data & Analytics technologies within the ICT environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of the inner workings of Defence/CIO Group including information management governance and control processes and procedures is desirable.
- Develop and deliver on action plans including representing CIO Group interests fostering changes to policy, process and information management procedures.
- Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data and undertake remediation activates in accordance with the ERP program time frames.
