Sydney- Ancillary Areas- PermanentThe Operations Associate is responsible for trade capture and position reconciliations, ensuring trades are captured in an efficient and timely manner and positions are accurate and reconciled to external brokers.

The Operations Associate monitors OTC derivative trades and ensures timely flow of any documentation and confirmation required. The position also provides profit and loss estimates for the day’s activity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Capturing trades into internal systems in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensure broker statements reconcile to internal systems daily across all products
- Fail trade processing, via liaison with Prime Brokers and counterparties
- Manage after trade details such as conversions / OTC cash flows including FX
- Produce nightly profit and loss estimate and reconciliation to front office
- Liaise with Product Accountants & trading desk to ensure accuracy of nightly estimate
- Maintain PnL including cash flows for equity swaps/CFD’s
- Handle all corporate action activity across holdings including stock splits/rights issues/tender offers/dividends
- Assist with new counterparty onboarding process
- Maintenance of internal system static data - Liaison with IT Development Team to have this correct through both F/O and B/O systems

**Requirements**:

- 3+ yrs Experience working in the financial markets arena
- Operational knowledge of Asian securities markets
- Thorough knowledge of equity and equity derivatives
- Knowledge of corporate action’s needs to cover economic implications of flows as well as operational booking and reconciling requirements
