**About the opportunity**:
The Capability Development Advisor is accountable to the Assistant Director within Payroll Services for planning and implementing programs designed to enhance the technical skills of staff and drive continuous improvement so that Payroll Services can achieve its vision of delivering high-quality services to customers.

**About you**

To be successful you will be required to:

- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and embedding capability development and continuous improvement programs.
- Significant experience in written and verbal communication with the proven ability to present information and effectively communicate across various stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate training and development activities, which create a high level of participant engagement and are aligned to a continuous improvement culture.
- Proven ability to think creatively and propose innovative strategies to enhance the departments capabilities and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, documenting and executing training needs analysis, considering training requirements, learning styles and operational service continuity.
- High level prioritisation and time management skills to coordinate the logistics of multiple activities, including demonstrated flexibility and use of initiative in a complex and changing operational environment.
- Proven experience in leading teams towards improvement initiatives through effective change management processes.
- An understanding of the legislative requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.
- An understanding of and ability to work/manage to the spirit and principles of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk management - Guidelines.
