**Position Summary - Payroll Manager**
The Payroll Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the payroll process within R.M. Williams. This role is responsible for leading and mentoring a small payroll team to deliver the full payroll function for 1200+ employees across multiple entities & in multiple locations across Australia, NZ, UK & US.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant federal and state laws, including the National Employment Standards, Awards, superannuation, and taxation obligations.
- Drive process improvement and leverage payroll systems to enhance efficiencies.
- End of pay, monthly and yearly reconciliations and reporting
- Maintain audit and internal controls to ensure payroll accuracy and legislative compliance.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- At least 5 years' experience in similar role, managing end-to-end payroll and leading a team
- Experience managing multiple end-to-end payrolls across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven experience in providing an excellent level of customer service in all aspects of the role including both management and employee payroll queries
- Strong experience working with various Payroll systems (Empower desirable)
- A deep understanding of payroll principles including Award and enterprise agreement interpretation and NES requirements, superannuation, and STP / tax requirements.
